April 2001 to September 2001: Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications for Luxe Worldwide Hotels, based in Los Angeles. Responsible for all media activity for 200 member hotels, advertising campaigns, collateral materials, newsletters, Web site content, community and industry outreach, consortia programs, international communiqués with member hotels, marketing services for member hotels and all special correspondence. Managed small department of in-house staff as well as outside contractors. Reported to the CEO and Senior VP of Sales.

1992 to 1994: Worked as public relations manager for Merica, Burch and Dickerson in Las Vegas, NV; taught college level journalism at the University of Nevada Las Vegas systems; Conceived and launched Las Vegas Magazine, 1993, as Editor-in-Chief. Magazine ceased publication in 2004.

1989 to 1991: Newsletter Director, The Interface Group, Needham, MA. In charge of design, copy, production, coordination and execution for all newsletters for a major trade show company that produced such shows as COMDEX, CINETEX, ITEX and others.

1986-1988: Staff Features Writer, Las Vegas SUN, morning edition daily.

1983-84: Freelance Writer. Reported on the famine in Ethiopia and Sudan, culture and civil war in Somalia, Jewish exile in Ethiopia and the War between Ethiopia and Eritrea for Boston Globe, Boston Phoenix, Christian Science Monitor, ARAMCO World and others.
